Insightful Play and Counseling
Reaching out for support whether for yourself or your child can be daunting, scary, and overwhelming especially if this will be your first experience with counseling.
I first want to clear up that there is nothing “wrong” with you or your child nor is this your “fault” for yourself or your child. We have all experienced struggles in varying degrees and respond in different ways. My hope would be to support you or your child in finding or learning ways to respond that are more beneficial and actually make us feel better in the long run.
A vital component to successful counseling is the counseling relationship between counselor and client. Just as in any other relationship such as with a friend or partner, not everyone will be a good fit for everyone and that is 100% ok. Please feel free to ask questions to help you determine if we might be a good fit and I certainly hope that we are! However, if it doesn’t seem like we are matching up quite right, I am happy to provide referrals for someone that might be a better match! I simply want the best for everyone on their mental health journey whether that is with me or not!
